Fear the old Blood
Chloe did all she could for her father she was the last of his family, that was able to take care of him, but no matter what she did the cough seemed to get worse, and worse. Tucking him in she watched the strong man who used to tend the fields slowly fade away. Her brothers had gone off to war, and little had been heard of them…

The doctor who she had called shook his head as the two of them walked from her father’s room into the kitchen. Chloe closed the door softly as she could, the door squeaked softly as they left the room.

“How does he look doctor?” Chloe asked gripping her apron softly as she held back the tears, the stress of caring for her father and being the only one to care for him had taken it’s tole on her, she had lost weight, and bags hung under her eyes.

“The man behind the plague mask shook his head. “A month maybe two…” the unblinking eyes of the plague mask stared at her, as the white beak of his mask shook. “My child there is no hope for your father after the plague has sped this far…”

The feeling of shock and fear, and pain, and terror filled her heart as she fell to her knees, tears slowly sliding down her face as she tired to speak, yet nothing came out…

“N-no there has to be something….” Choking back sobs Chloe crawled on her knees to grip at the robes of the plague doctor. Her hands shook as she stared up at the plague doctor. “Please doctor, I… I can’t lose him, I’ve already lost everything else, there has to be SOMETHING!” she wailed in sorrow, as her heart felt like it was going to burst from the pain, her chest was tight, and she just wised there was something she could do, anything she could do…. But what could a woman do in a world like this…

The unblinking mask stared down at Chloe, this face had stared down so much death since the plague, that it was clear this was a common thing, the mask tilted to the right, as it was clear the doctor had something on his mind.

“A colleague of mine just returned from a city far away from here… From a City called Yharnam, he spoke quite highly of a church there, their healing blood seems to cure almost anyone who partakes of it.” The plague doctor leaned down and rubbed the sobbing woman softly on the back. “Maybe if you were to go there, maybe there would be a way to cure your father.”

After that was said the doctor left the home, his work was far from done, but the words that he left the sobbing woman, gave her a ray of hope… Maybe just maybe there was a way to save her father….

Shaking Chloe rose to her feet and clearing the tears from her eyes the young woman nodded looking back to her father’s room. With a nod of determination Chle walked back into the storeroom, and opened her father’s old war chest. Inside laid a old leather coat, a bag of coins, and men’s clothing, stripping out of her dress Chloe dressed in her father’s clothing, that was much to large for her, but yet it was more suited to the road. Taking a quill and parchment she scribbled down a note for the milk man, asking him to watch over her father while she set off to this far off city. Saddling the family horse she started her adventure to the city of Yharnam…..

Chloe rode through out the night, and the next day riding hard in order to save her father, the only family she had left… It was dark out when she finally made it out of the woods that lead to the city, without the cover of the forest, Chloe was able to see the spires of Yharnam in all their glory almost shining in the pale moonlight… She knew this was the place, the place that would save her father, she drove the horse onward but the old best had been pushed to hard, and just as she was about to make into the city the poor old horse stumbled, and threw Chloe from his back, throwing her into a ditch.

Chloe only saw flashes as she rolled down the gassy hill, pain lancing through her until she made a sudden stop, her head smashing into a rock, in the ditch just outside of the city that could have saved her father, Chloe stared up at the pale moon blood leaking out from the back of her skull… she was so close, she had almost made it. The pain her chest grew heavy as she cried, she had almost made it… she was so close, just to die in a ditch, she stared up to the moon, and begged. “Please…. I can’t die here, there is someone home who needs me.. Please..” Chloe closed her eyes and sobbed, until the darkness took her…..

“Oh. Yes… Paleblood.”

Chloe slowly started to blink awake an old man in a wheel chair was speaking ot her, but her mind was foggy.
“Well. You’ve come to the right place. Yharnam is the home of blood ministration.”
That named rang something in her mind, but it was so foggy, and her head hurt, and she just wanted to lay down in die, but she knew she couldn’t she needed to do….. do what again? Her head hurt so bad it was hard to think….
“You need only unravel its mystery. But, where’s an outsider like yourself to begin?”

The man in the wheelchair rolled a bit closer to her, the weak light from a lamp hung behind his chair gave off the barest hint of light. With the light cast from his lamp she could see an old man in a dark cloak, and a large hat, with a white beard.

“Easy, with a bit of Yharnam blood of your own…”

The man leaned forward and smiled, it was then she saw that this man had no eyes, but with that smile the man said.
“But first, you’ll need a Contract….”

Chloe felt like she was missing something, but she didn’t know what, she knew she needed to sign this contract. The man smiled and grabbed her hand, and placed a dagger into it. “Just one drop of blood, and you’ll be all set.” The man smiled.

Chloe didn’t know just why she needed to do this, but there was something that told her to do what ever this man asked of her, she knew this was the only way to do what she needed. Chloe stared at the dagger as the man rummaged around for a bit of parchment and held it out to her. Chloe took the parchment and tired to read it, but her eyes just could not focus enough to read the words. “Just one drop of blood, and you’ll be all set.”

Chloe didn’t know why she needed this man, but she knew this was the only way to…. To do what? Chloe shook her head and pricked her thumb with the dagger, a single scarlet droplet of blood welled from the cut, and she pressed it to the parchment.

“Good. All signed and sealed.” The man smiled
“Now, let’s begin the transfusion. Oh. Don’t you worry. What ever happens… You may think it all a mere bad dream…” With that said Chloe laid back and stare dup at the man, her head throbbing , her sight beginning to fade away once more. The man chuckled as she started to fade out once more.

Chloe awoke once more to the sound of dripping blood…

Drip, Drip, Drip.

Slowly looking around, she felt her head feeling much better then it had been before, but oddly enough she was alone in a dark hospital room, with no light other then the pale moonlight shining through the window.

her eyes looked around the room only to land on a scarlet pool of blood.

“What the fuu.” Something just moved in the pool, Chloe felt her ears perk, and her back stiffen, the smell of blood was not something she feared, but that movement scared her to her core. Slowly a wolf rose from the blood dagger like claws gleamed in the pale moonlight, teeth like razors in it’s maw, and hate in it’s eyes. As it stared at her clawing slowly forward. She wanted to scream, but nothing came out. She was trapped she couldn’t move the fear stunned her, and she wanted to cry, she wanted to scream, but there was nothing she could do. The wolf clawed closer, and closer the sound of splashing blood was all she could hear, her heart raced and she knew she was staring death in the face. The wolf raise his claw up to reach for Chloe those pale eyes staring into her soul, and she knew this was the end all she could do was close her eyes, and try not to weep…. The feeling of a cold damp claw touching her face sent shivers down her spine, but just then… the beast’s claw burst into flame, the beast recoiled, and howled in pain. Quickly the beast was engulfed in flames howling in pain and screaming from the pain of the fire, it’s dagger like claws flailing, but after moments that felt like for ever the beast feel forward dead….

Chloe lay there panting not knowing what the hell she just saw, but feeling better now the beast was gone, her reprieve was not long though, slowly a silver white hand placed itself on toe slab that she was on her eyes going to the tiny creature that was crawling up to her. The grotesque monster kept clawing forward it’s boney frame crawling up, and it’s tiny hand placed on her leg as it crawled up her. A feeling to her right she could see another one of the boney monsters crawling up her shoulder, and soon they were all around her. She was panicking, but the stress was to much for her, and slowly she faded into sleep once more…
