Update: now requires a $1,000 deposit instead of $100.

The Offer
- Swagbucks is offering 12,000 ($120) when you sign up for Wysh, deposit $1,000 and remain a customer for 30 days.
- MyPoints has a similar offer for 20,400 points which is worth around $128-$135.
Wysh Savings+ is an account which combines the power of a high-yield savings account with free micro life insurance protection. There’s no medical underwriting, no additional fees, and no lock-ins. You can read more in this press release.
The Fine Print
- Must be a new user to earn.
- Must remain a Wysh customer for at least 30 days to earn 12,000 SB
- Award will pend for 32 days
Our Verdict
We posted about Wysh last year when the offer was $100-$112, now it’s up to $120-$135. (Technically, it sounds like you can even pull the $1,000 out immediately, so long as you remain a Wysh customer for 30 days.)
This is an easy-ish bonus that’s easy enough to do. I imagine some people will find this deal worthwhile. (You won’t get a 1099 from the bank; there is a chance of getting a 1099 from Swagbucks, see this post to learn more. Regardless, legally you’d have to self-report the income.)
Reports are that the points go pending within a couple of hours. Reports are that there is no Chex inquiry. The account earns 4% APY which isn’t bad, should you decide to leave funds in the account.

I signed up from MyPoints when it was listed as $100 deposit but account linking wasn’t working for me until yesterday. Has anyone in a similar situation deposited $100 and have it go pending?

Opened account and funded $1,004
In ~2 hours, MyPoints showed up 20,400 to be credited in 45 days.
I am new to MyPoints and still have not redeemed my Chime bonus so was wondering would I get flagged doing 4 straight transactions of redemptions for MasterCard gift cards in a row or should I space them out? I just don’t want those points to overlap with this Wysh promo. Any advice would be appreciated.

P1 and P2 both signed up through Swagbucksyesterday, linked the account with Plaid during the application process and selected to fund $1000 from the external account. Points showed pending for both after roughly 1.5 hour. Credit pending 32 days.

There is no outward facing account number, nor are externally initiated EFTs/ACH’s supported.

No. It uses Q2 as a BaaS platform, which means that your funds are pooled into an omnibus account, potentially arbitraged by the underlying partner banks into riskier banks (Pacific) of the sort involved in last year’s bank runs (they’re collecting 5.4-5.9% in institutional-grade money markets, while paying you 4% as long as they can sustain it). Contrary to the representations made in such products, it’s far from decided whether FDIC insurance would even extend to the indirect end user. And the crediting of interest is potentially the obligation of Wysh, rather than the underlying custodial bank or omnibus-affiliated bank. I think these types of products are reflective of a lurking liquidity crisis, and of late-to-the-occasion fintechs running out of ideas for revenue streams.

They are very sensitive regarding funds movement, even for deposits. You in theory could attempt withdrawals within about 6 or so business days of when the incoming transfers were first initiated, but it would be a bad move. BBB, CFOB and Trustpilot contain a number of stories of account freezes on just this very topic that lasted for weeks without response.

Probably space it out 30 to 45 days after depositing, in moderately sized withdrawals.

Just a heads up, It won’t let you link any banks manually and you must use Plaid.
Currently most of my fund are in Fidelity which is not supported with Plaid. Very annoying, but hopefully I can make the deposit tomorrow after I move some funds and still get credit.
I will update if I get pending.

Has anybody added $900 after only depositing $100? Let us know if it worked and went pending.

That’s exactly what I did and it went to pending after the end of the day.
Did $101 dollars initially
Did $900 dollars ten minutes later.

How are you defining pending? As in a yellow tick next to the shop in the visited section or actually showing in the pending activity section? I have the former for me at the moment.

I am same situation as you (gold coin in visited but no points pending in the pending activity section). I tried adding on another $1001 this morning but still nothing. Starting to regret trying this one out although I am confident I’ll get the points eventually via a ticket (since I took lots of screenshots).
