One step towards sustainable aviation! 🛫🌱 In their latest research, a team of researchers from the UFZ shows a promising way to obtain aviation fuel from biomass. Through the Kolbe electrolysis of medium-chain carboxylic acids, such as n-hexanoic acid, they show that aviation fuels, mainly consisting of n-decane, can be produced. 🌿✈️ These results bring us closer to the vision of environmentally friendly aviation. 🌍🌿 The paper by Luis F.M. We're on a mission to decarbonize aviation globally - LanzaJet is teaming up with Haffner Energy and LanzaTech on a #SustainableAviationFuel (#SAF) plant project at Aéroport Paris-Vatry. The “Paris-Vatry SAF” project is a terrific example of the versatility of the Alcohol-to-Jet (ATJ) SAF platform.This collaboration highlights how LanzaJet can meet the increasing demand in Europe for low-carbon, sustainable fuels made from advanced feedstocks.
