Today is the day we celebrate our wonderful city.. on Manchester Day🐝Fun facts about Manchester > ~ In 1904 that Charles Rolls and Henry Royce first met in Manchester’s city centre Midland Hotel. Two years later the company Rolls-Royce Ltd was formed. ~ In 1948 Manchester University professors developed the first computer to have a stored programme and memory. Nicknamed ‘Baby’, it has made the computer what it is today. A replica can be seen at the Science and Industry Museum.~ In 1903 Mancunian Emmeline Pankhurst found the Women’s Social and Political Union, later known as the Suffragettes. Emmeline dedicated her life to the campaign for women’s votes and the statue of Emmeline Pankhurst can be seen outside of our lovely building! ~ In 1888 the world’s first professional football league was set up at the Royal Hotel in Manchester. The city is home to two Premiership football teams including Manchester City and Manchester United Football Clubs❤️💙~ Manchester is home to the world’s longest running TV soap opera – Coronation Street. At Two St. Peter's Square, we are incredibly fortunate to have a team of exceptional security professionals who ensure our safety and peace of mind every single day. We would like to extend a special thank you to our own security officers, *Paul and Dan* whose vigilance, commitment, and friendly demeanour do not go unnoticed. Additionally, we want to recognize our night and weekend guards, whose efforts ensure the building remains protected around the clock. To celebrate #Wimbledon2024 we hosted @annas_mcr homemade ice cream yesterday for our 2SPS occupiers! The ice cream went down a treat with lots of delicious flavours to chose from😋🍦Our lovely reception desk has also been transformed into a Wimbledon wonderland with beautiful themed flowers and decorations created by Citiblooms 😍🌼🎾Wimbledon fun fact - Wimbledon, the oldest tennis tournament in the world, originated in 1877 at the All England Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon, London. Known for their calming properties, these products helped us unwind and find moments of tranquility during the busy workday.🔹 Beacon Counselling Popup : We also had the privilege of having Beacon Counselling on-site.
